About Superstition Pattern Classic

The SPC is a 3-day contest for 401, 402, 403, 404, 406, and FAI Silver (FAI P only). 6 rounds flown across 3 days, weather permitting. Rounds start Friday & continue through Sunday. Mid-air avoidance will be allowed. Any AMA legal airplane will be allowed in Sportsman, excluding those under the LMA or Turbine programs. We will fly the “FAI Silver” class (P sequence only)in addition to FAI.

The Superstition Pattern Classic is a 4-day AMA Pattern contest from February 22-25, 2024 in Mesa Arizona. It takes place at Superstition Airpark, home of the Arizona Model Aviators. This is an AMA sanctioned event, #15303.The contest will follow the common format of 6 rounds for all classes from Sportsman up through FAI, including FAI Silver.Together with the Desert Pattern Challenge the following weekend, it comprises the Southwest Winter Pattern Championships where the best placing across the two contests is crowned the series champion.
